COLLABORATION, diversity and ingenuity pulsate once again in this latest high-energy series of the Irish Chamber Orchestra. I create online Series 1 and 2 had a serious impact online during Covid, and Series 3 only expands the ingenuity of ICO in more groundbreaking partnerships.

Episode 1, YES SIR, I CAN BOOGIE is our biggest collaboration so far than that ICO turns up the pace to the disco! A happy short film that reflects the limits of Covid through the freedom to dance at home – alone! This is pure escapism and fun like that Irish Chamber Orchestra lead by Katherine Hunka perform a fabulous cover of Baccaras 1977 disco classic, Yes sir, I can boogie.

The music is arranged and produced by Jimmy Smith with Jennifer Healy and Sharon Gaynor outstanding on vocals. Episode 2, THE CAT & THE DOG is a magical collaboration between Irish writer and storyteller Eddie Lenihan and the Irish Chamber Orchestra. ICO violinist and composer Oonagh Keogh wrote a beautiful soundscape for this adorable pet rivalry story performed by fellow musicians Katherine Hunka, Nicola Sweeney, Malachy Robinson and carried out by Oonagh Keogh. THE CAT & THE DOG be of creative guru. mischievously brought to life Philip Shanahan with his shimmering love of animation and motion graphics.

Shadow puppetry is an art that breaks the world from three to two dimensions and is a medium that is conducive to the extraordinary. THE CAT & THE DOG is a charming production full of humor, irony and fantasy and sends across ICO Social media channels Thursday October 28th.

Episode 3, BROKEN 22 is a fascinating collaboration with the hip-hop den DJ Naive Ted, Irish Chamber Orchestra with ICO Solo cellist and composer Christian Elliott and filmmakers, Dominik Kosicki. Christian composed material for 22 players in the orchestra so that the music could be layered or used individually.

Naive Ted worked his magic with various add-ins and spins to create new sounds and the Irish Chamber Orchestra in a brand new guise. Dominik these collaborative elements brought together in an extraordinary video production, BROKEN 22.
